Next destination?

I want to go to Nepal, but I don't think my parents would agree to it. My mom promised me that we would go to Korea again sometime next year, but I don't know, I mean how can I tell? Both of my parents are busy. Anyways, if next year, I will visit Seoul again, I want to go there during fall, around september-November, many people said that the scene is really nice almost like picturesque. Nest time, I should visit:
- cheonggaecheon stream
- nami island again
- petit france village
- dongdaemun shopping complex,( I don't even know that the area is a lot bigger!)
- hongdae, (not at night though)

Not really sure :( cause my dad already said that he wish to go to Australia to look for my university. i still want more Seoouul!

Shopping In Fashionable Seoul

If you are really into fashion and cute, quirky stuff, then Seoul would be a paradise for you! Here is some area that has lots of amazing shops nearby

1) dongdaemun: once you get off the dongdaemun station, you will see a lot of fashionably clothed people as well as oldies carrying their shopping bag around, they're heading to the area around doota. Personally, I prefer to shop at doota because the shops are located strategically and you can fit the clothes quite comfortably though most of them don't have the exact fitting room, but the clothes in doota are quite expensive, for those of you who don't want to shop expensively, then you better go to migliore, it is next to doota but majority of them have the same type of clothing and their price are cheaper, although the shops are tightly packed, I'm sure that once you get there, it won't be a problem anymore ;)

2) myeong-dong: I love this area so much! Here you can find lots of quirky glasses stores and stuff, the price are a little higher than in dongdaemun though because most are branded stores. Don't forget to go to alo eyewear's store! You can find h&m, forever 21, zara, and uniqlo here.
Subway : take line 4(blue line)

3) insadong:for those of you who are craving for arts and culture. I love the art shops around knife gallery. Don't forget to go to Hana art gallery and explore their shop downstairs.

And my advice is not to go around itaewon. You won't feel comfortable there, although there are lots of tourists, but I just don't feel safe. Except if you really like to go to nightclubs and like the company of new friends, then this is the suitable place for you.

Whatever Happens To Youth Culture?

Compared to other countries, our country’s art and cultures development still lays dormant. Up until now, most art performances are still considered a prestigious show, because of the grand décor in every art performances and rich audiences that attended it. How ironic? Because with over than 235 million people living inside our country’s border, we should have lots of young creative mindsgrowing up inside every village in Indonesia’s provinces. It is sad that access to networking is the only barrier that limits their chance to develop their talents in art.

Have you ever heard of Kelola Foundation? Ever since it is established in 1999, Kelola has continue to make their vision of promoting Indonesia’s arts come true by offering learning opportunities to talented Indonesian artists through Hibah Seni, an art fund to help performing artists organize their performances in cities around Indonesia. And Magang Nusantara, that offers an opportunity to do three months internship in an art organization.

However, it is still considered hard for this foundation to find generous organizations that shares the same vision with them and willing to donate Rp.16.500.000 (US$1.925,55) for an artist to join the Magang Nusantara program. As time goes by, and as I get to know this foundation thoroughly, we got the idea to work together with young generations. Why not help talented artists to develop their talents by donating Rp.100.000 (US$11.67) per month? Imagine if 17 youths donate that amount for Kelola. We can contribute to help an Indonesian artist develop their talent!

wednesday, 15th of june 2011!

Today I went to my first part time job interview! :D It is at the Kelola art foundation. It's not as scary and tense as I thought at the first time, and I think I'm going to like the tasks assigned :). THANK YOU NANIS!! for giving us the job. BTW, I'm still listening to noises by GAP songs today. They're amazing! You should listen to it. He is a really talented musician. Too bad he's gone now :( Nanis and I are kind of surprised of how small this world is yesterday. How everything is connected.

So on Saturday, I attended my first concert hehehe which iiss MGMT and Whitest Boy Alive! :-D They're amazing. What can I say more? 325 thousand for MGMT and whitest boy alive alive as the opening act? :O I like it when the whitest boy alive sang 1517 and keep a secret woah! So soothing. Actually, back then I don't really pay attention to wba because I have 2 of koc's cds and they're super calming but then wba is super nice too. When I arrived home, I downloaded some of their songs immediately hahaha. As for MGMT, they're cool. But erlend oye and other wba members interacted more with the audience. Next concert I wish to attend: Daft Punk / Passion Pit Please come to Jakarta! :-(

bloc party's

This Modern Love.

the last day of school!

After school today, I went to ten, a Japanese restaurant in front of Nanis' apartment and eat ten salad there. The taste's pretty good, the food quality is fresh, and the price is reasonable. So come and eat there, people! After that, me, Vanessa, Nder, Nanis, Asti, and Editha cross the road to Pakubuwono and chillax at Nanis' crib. I read this book of world's mystery and the rest played games. After Nder and Vanessa went home, we took a lot of pictures. At the pool, in front of an artwork, in the sauna, literally, we take pictures everywhere! Then at around 3 we went to Mempora in Senayan to watch Kimberly, Gianna, Dina, Yuli, and Aci perform their jazz ballet dance. They're doing good! I met some people from binus who watch them too. Overall, today's awesome!

I used to think like this also

I used to think that everything was just being funny but now I don't know. I mean, how can you tell?

i miss the good old times in vietnam

I kind of miss Ho Chi Minh City. With it's bustling streets and friendly people I met everyday. I am especially delighted by a frequent sighting of art galleries and historical buildings along the streets.

I'm being quite productive today! I make 2 bracelets because today my friends canceled our hang out plan. I also downloaded some songs by sky ferreira, bombay bicycle club, and beirut. They're good! Oh! And I finished half of my technology's design stage and studied science. Now I understand about pivot shits
